The competition for the World Cup '07 - Romania was completed. Tihomir Dimitrov is 4-th in mail group and Radka Petrova is 4-th in the femail group. Congratilations!

On January 27th, 2007, in Frankfurt, 48 Federations convened to found the IFSC - International Federation of Sport Climbing. The Statutes and Bye-laws, as well as the regulations, of the new IF were unanimously adopted, and a new challenge began. The number of members is now approaching 70. FBAC is full member of the IFSC.

FBAC General assembly work meeting took place on the 13-th of January, 2007. Main points in the work meeting were 1. Review of year 2006 and 2. Elections for new board members.

On Sunday, the 23th of April the final competition was held in Veliko Turnovo with the focus on “speed” climbing. The 90 competitors from 16 countries who competed, made it quite the weekend for us! For the first time there was a dynamic circle of World Cup “boulderers” – The most dynamic and fastest developing discipline in climbing. The routes were arranged by the judges – keeping up with Jaki Godof (France) was the real challenge even and for those in the world ranking in the discipline. In “Speed” the Russians proved their skills again.

The first World Cup competition in the discipline of - "Bouldering" was completed. Olga Bibik from Russia and Kiliyan Fishubep from Austria were victorious, who finished by qualifying with the ranking for the World Cup - "Bouldering". The classifying of the Bulgarians – Spasina Nedyalkovo – 19th, Petya Gurbova, Mariyan Georgiev – Blerovest Lazarov – 26th, Iliyan Mihailov – 29th, Rumen Neshev – 34th, Ivailo Radkov – 35th, Milen Vidihovski – 40th.

The initial competition for the World Cup – Bouldering and Speed climbing in Veliko Turnovo. There will be 90 participants from 16 countries. Today’s program is the qualifying round for Bouldering. The national team of Bulgaria will also be participation in the Competition Climbing – 6 men and 4 women. We wish you luck!

On 8th and 9th of April in Veliko Turnovo there will be a training camp for the national team, who will take participation in the World Cup for Competition Climbing, 21-23 April 2006 г.

Today, the Secretary of the State Agency for Youth and Sports accepted Declaration of the General Assembly of FBAC concerning the alpinism system for the state financial assistance.

The first camp-sum for determining the structure of the Bulgarian National Competition Climbing Team, who will become a member of the World Cup for Competition Climbing – “Bouldering” and “Speed” will be held in Veliko Turnovo on 21-23.04.2006.
